The Good Guide

The Good Guide is an ethical guide for creative practice developed for IADT creative practice students, centred around sustainability, inclusivity and responsible design. The project was funded through the National Technological University Transformation for Resilience and Recovery (N-TUTORR) initiative. The project brought together research, content development and visual communication to create a set of accessible resources that students could use throughout their studies and inform their future professional practice.

An Ethical Guide for Sustainable and Inclusive Creative Practice for Students

Secondary research and benchmarking helped establish the guide’s core pillars and shape the initial content direction. Expert interviews brought in professional perspectives on ethical creative practice, while a student survey explored existing knowledge and interests, helping gauge the tone and accessibility of the guide. The findings were then synthesised into clear and easy-to-digest content and broken into three pillars.

The project was presented at the N-TUTORR Showcase in April 2024 and later launched at IADT in October 2024. It subsequently became part of IADT’s first-year welcome pack, with further funding awarded to expand the project through additional resources.
